French 3 students created a “Present Tense” lesson to demonstrate how to conjugate various verbs in the present tense. The students were assigned to groups, and each group was instructed to complete a powerpoint on a particular verb. A student from each group “taught” his/her verb to another group of students unfamiliar with the verb conjugation. Once the student finished his/her lesson, he/she became a participant in another group to learn about another verb.
Creating this project enabled students to fulfil various of our ESLRs. Students needed to design a creative presentation and communicate effectively with their peers. The project also required successful teamwork and collaboration to produce the final product.
This was a very successful project, as students overwhelmingly agreed that they both enjoyed working on it and, more importantly, that they learned common French verbs.

Note: Projects may contain some language inaccuracies, as the students are developing second-language learners at a novice level.
