Students are working with cardboard to design flags from around the world. Over the course of the semester they will design flags from the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania. They will also be writing about these places and presenting to the class on their assigned countries.
In groups students chose the American Revolution, French Revolution, or the Glorious Revolution and chose an artifact or building that represented one of the three revolutions. In the recreation of these buildings and or artifacts students focused on the accuracy in terms of details and how these are still relevant for democracy around the world.
This year we hope even more classes will join in a true celebration of project-based learning and participate with Ms. Ward Kelly's art classes in the cardboard challenge! See the one sheet below for more information and enjoy our photos from last year's students who participated in art, creative writing, robotics, architecture, dance and physical education classes.
